WELL REPRESENTEDOctober 5th, 2009Of course you won’t see anything TaylorMade on their bags or caps for the week, but both teams at The Presidents Cup to be played from 8 to 11 October in San Francisco will be well represented by TaylorMade Tour Staff.
And among the six Presidents Cup rookies, both Sean O’ Hair for the US Team and YE Yang of the Internationals, are TaylorMade Tour Staff Players. Yang is joined on the International team by fellow TaylorMade Tour Staff Player Retief Goosen and Canadian lefty Mike Weir, while Kenny Perry is another TaylorMade staffer on the US Team.
Greg Norman, who is a recent signing to TaylorMade adidas Golf, leads the International Team and, with three South Africans in his team, there will be no doubt where our newsletter’s readers’ allegiances lie. The International Team is yet to win on US soil but, with two very evenly matched sides, its chances are as good as ever to win the series of fourball, foursomes and singles matches.
Harding Park, a public golf facility in San Francisco on the shores of Lake Merced, should provide the perfect venue, and, as long as the notorious San Francisco fog stays away, we are in for a treat.
Our prediction? The Internationals to sneak the Cup by the narrowest of margins with TaylorMade winning the driver count for the week!
