TaylorMade R9 SuperTri… “Distance comes through Optimisation”
February 25th, 2010

First we had the R9 Driver with ground breaking Moveable Weight Technology which was seen as more of a ‘performance club’ being a smaller 420cc’s in size, which was followed by the bigger R9 460 with Flight Control Technology, giving the golfer more forgiveness on off-centre hits.

Behold, the R9 SuperTri Driver with Flight Control Technology as well as Moveable Weight Technology, giving the player a performance driver with more forgiveness- which is what all golfers are looking for.

This sleek looking driver with FCT and MWT in a 460cc head allows for 24 combinations of face angle and CG location to promote up to 75 yards of side-to-side trajectory change, all in a more forgiving head.

A deeper clubface and deeper CG location promotes a higher launch angle and higher spin rate, which makes it easier to launch than the previous R9 Drivers. With the Fujikura Motore 60-gram shaft (5 grams lighter than previous R9 drivers) and a softer tip makes the R9 SuperTri more playable and easier to get the ball in the air.

Let’s recap- Moveable Weight Technology along with Flight Control Technology, a 460cc head and deeper CG location, 45,75” in length with a 60gram shaft (65 grams for the TP), headcover and wrench included.
